virtualDavis On the Superhighway (vDOTS) is a digital collage consisting of one part flâneur's diary, one part travelogue, one part storytelling, one part blog, one part this, one part that,... It will evolve. I hope. Ellipses will inevitably prevail.

vDOTS is destined to remain forever in beta, a perennial rough draft. It is new and dynamic even when it seems to have sunk into static old age. Dust settling on the surface of the oak mantelpiece betrays the fabulous, intricate work of the termites building beautiful branching cities underneath. Until you cozy up to the fire on a snowy evening, place your cognac on the dusty mantle, and observe--in delayed time--your snifter sinking into the spongy wood, you might easily and justifiably overlook the mysterious new tunnels beneath the surface.
